Providing Support, Trainings, Access, Referrals and Sustainability for Private Practice Clinicians Interested in a Collaborative Therapy Model.

Who are we?

The Bay Area Therapist Coalition was built on the idea that we are stronger together than alone. Starting a Private Practice can be daunting,  costly and lonely! It can feel impossible to hold all the upfront costs before you even have consistent clientele. As well as dealing with never having paid days off and the struggle of affording health insurance as an individual or a family. The Bay Area Coalition gives robust support to both seasoned and newly licensed therapists who are either in the process of building their practices or just looking for the benefits of working as a collective. We do this by taking care of all of the overhead and headaches of staring a private practice along with adding agency benefits like, paid time off and health insurance options. Our agency is predominantly interested in serving under represented populations including BIPOC, members of LGBTQIA community, Nuerodivergent clients (ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia ect..) as well clients who deal with chronic illness and/or clients with disabilities. This also means that we are dedicated to finding therapists that are part of those communities themselves. This opportunity can be used as either a temporary starting place or as an on going platform. Our business model is deeply devoted to diversity, transparency, work/life balance and competitive compensation.

How does it all work?

If you are a new therapist building your practice or just wanting to be part of an agency that takes care of the hassle, overhead, lack of paid time off and expensive health care that independent practices have to take on themselves; then a group agency framework is one to consider.

Our framework begins with our employee members starting as W2 employees from the start and is built on a percentage based structure, meaning you are paid 60% of the client fee for each of the clients you see. The 40% left over goes to the agency to help cover the costs of all that is mentioned in the bulleted point list. For more information click click on the "How Does it work" tab at the top of this page.
